Mumbai: People Move Coach At Vashi Station To Save Man Trapped Under Train
A group of passengers rescued a man trapped under a local train at Navi Mumbai's Vashi station on Wednesday.
The spirit of Mumbai, which has been spoken about several times, came alive once more when people came together to move a train to save a fellow passenger trapped under the wheels of a Mumbai local at the Vashi station. The heart-winning incident went viral when a person posted the video on Reddit.
The 41-second clip showed the commutters gathering around the train's motorman cabin while others were seen pushing the heavy train coach to the other side to rescue the man trapped under.

The user who posted the recording on Reddit disclosed that the passenger was found trapped under the Panvel-bound local. "When I recorded this, people were just pushing randomly. Later, everybody collaborated and pushed at the same time and it worked," the user said on Reddit.
Cat_Of_Culture, the user who posted the clip also informed that the man escaped with minor injuries when some of the Redditors questioned whether the trapped person was alive. Another Reddit user claimed that he was present at the spot on the same train and that the man had a sprained ankle "but otherwise he is doing fine," reported NDTV.
According to Mid-Day, railway authorities verified the incident as a case of trespassing on the tracks and highlighted the necessity of using designated crossings.
The affected person met with the unfortunate incident when he was crossing the tracks. A train headed towards Panvel abruptly applied emergency brakes, stopping just in time on the platform to prevent a catastrophe but the man came under the train. The onlookers acted quickly, joining forces to move the massive 12-car train aside.
