Kerala: College Student Murdered By Her Classmate Inside Campus
Both of them had come to the college to attend supplementary examination. The attack had taken place after the victim came out of the examination hall.
Chennai: A college student, who had visited her college to attend her examination, was murdered at private college premises in Kerala’s Kottayam district in broad daylight on Friday.
According to a report in The News Minute, the deceased has been identified as Nidhina Mol, a student of food technology and the accused was identified as Abhishek Baiju, her classmate. The accused had killed her by slitting her throat at the campus of St Thomas College Pala in Kottayam district.
Quoting an eyewitness, Jose who was working as a watchman in the college, the report said that he had seen both the accused and victim arguing under a mango tree in the college premises and when he tried to intervene, he had noticed blood spurting from her neck.

The report said apart from Jose, many others had seen them arguing before he attacked her with a knife. The accused had used a paper cutter knife to attack the victim and immediately after the attack, four college authorities had immediately taken Nidhina to a nearby hospital but she was declared brought dead by doctors at the hospital, according to the report.
One of the college authorities told the media that the victim was breathing faintly when she was being taken to the hospital but she could not make it till the hospital.
Quoting Kottayam Superintendent of Police Shilpa Dyavaidh, the report said that the accused was one of the classmates of the victim and he had been taken into custody. The police officials registered a case and are further investigating the case.
According to the report, both Abishek and Nidhina are studying third year Food technology at the college and they had come to the college to attend supplementary examination. The attack had taken place after the victim came out of the examination hall.
