'Kalam Was A Jihadi': Ghaziabad Temple Priest Targets Former President Over Religion

The priests' controversial statement comes after a Muslim boy was beaten up for allegedly drinking water in Dasna Devi temple premises.

A priest of Dasna Devi temple in Ghaziabad has given a very controversial statement. He has targeted former President APJ Abdul Kalam over his religion. The temple priest on Tuesday targeted former President Kalam, calling him a "jihadi".

"Any Muslim in the top echelons of the country cannot be pro-India and Kalam was a jihadi," Dasna Devi Temple's Yati Narsinghanad Saraswati told PTI in Aligarh.

The priests' controversial statement comes after a Muslim boy was beaten up for allegedly drinking water in Dasna Devi temple premises.

Narasimhanand Saraswati accused the late Kalam of "supplying the formula of atomic bomb to Pakistan" as DRDO chief, without any evidence. The priest claimed, "Kalam had maintained a cell in Rashtrapati Bhavan, where any Muslim could file his complain."

In the same temple, a man identified as Shringi Nand Yadav has been arrested by the police for allegedly beating a Muslim boy in a dispute over drinking water in temple premises.

In a viral video, it can be seen that Yadav asked the boy his name and the boy said his name was Asif, after which Yadav is seen beating him mercilessly.
