Yogi Adityanath Sworn-In As UP CM For 2nd Consecutive Term. Keshav Maurya, Brajesh Pathak To Be His Deputies

New Delhi: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Yogi Adityanath was on Friday sworn-in as the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh for the second consecutive term.
Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel administered the oath to 49-year-old Adityanath at a ceremony held at Lucknow’s Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium.
BJP leaders Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak took oath as deputy chief ministers of the state.
BJP leaders Suresh Kumar Khanna, Surya Pratap Shahi, Swatantra Dev Singh, Baby Rani Maurya, Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary, Jaivir Singh, Dharampal Singh and Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi took oath as ministers in Adityanath-led government.
Besides, Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, Anil Rajbhar, Jitin Prasada, Rakesh Sachan, Arvind Kumar Sharma and Yogendra Upadhyaya of the saffron party also took oath.
Apna Dal president Ashish Patel and Nishad Party chief Sanjay Nishad were also sworn-in as ministers.
BJP leaders Nitin Agarwal, Jai Prakash, Ravindra Jaiswal, Sandeep Kumar Singh, Gulab Devi, Girish Chandra Yadav, Dharamvir Prajapati, Asim Arun, Jayant Pratap Singh Rathore, Daya Shankar Singh, Narendra Kumar Kashyap, Dinesh Pratap Singh, Arun Kumar Saxena and Dayashankar Mishra ‘Dayalu’ took oath as ministers with independent charge.
Mayankeshwar Singh, Dinesh Khateek, Sanjeev Gond, Baldev Singh Olakh, Ajit Pal, Jaswant Saini, Ramkesh Nishad, Manohar Lal Mannu Kori, Sanjay Singh Gangwar, Brijesh Singh, KP Malik, Suresh Rahi, Somendra Tomar, Anoop Pradhan ‘Valmiki’, Pratibha Shukla, Rakesh Rathore Guru, Rajni Tiwari, Satish Sharma, Danish Azad Ansari and Vijay Laxmi Gautam took oath as ministers of state in the new government.
The swearing-in ceremony was witnessed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence minister Rajnath Singh among others.
The chief ministers of several BJP-ruled states were also present at the event, which took place under adequate security arrangements.
Several top industrialists, Bollywood actors, beneficiaries of various government schemes and seers were also present for the swearing-in of the first government to be voted back to power for a consecutive term in 37 years.
The security was ramped up at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium for the swearing-in ceremony.
As a precautionary measure, CCTVs and drones were deployed to manage the crowd.
Over 5,000 civil police and the Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) personnel besides members of the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) were present at the venue to ensure that no untoward incident takes place during the event.
Adityanath, who was earlier on Thursday elected the BJP legislature party leader in Uttar Pradesh, took over as the 33rd chief minister of the state.
The legislative party meeting took place in the presence of the BJP’s central observers, including Home Minister Shah and former Jharkhand chief minister Raghubar Das.
The BJP-led alliance had won 273 seats in the 403-member Uttar Pradesh Assembly in the recent polls.
With this splendid performance, the BJP became the first party to retain power in politically crucial Uttar Pradesh since 1985.
