Kejriwal added that the committees should gather as many people at the flag’s location at 10 a.m. every Sunday to sing the National Anthem.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government will install 500 tricolours in the national capital by August 15, adding a five-member committee will be formed for each flag to ensure the Flag Code of India.

“We decided that we will install 500 tricolours in Delhi by August 15. A five-member committee to be formed for each flag to ensure the Flag Code of India,” ANI quoted Kejriwal as saying.

Kejriwal added that the committees should gather as many people at the flag’s location at 10 a.m. every Sunday to sing the National Anthem.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener urged the committees to motivate the locals for the same.

“My proposal is for the committees to incite motivation in locals. Once, they prepare 1,000 young volunteers each, I'll invite the committees to my residence for dinner,” said Kejriwal.

“These volunteers won’t be of the AAP, BJP or Congress, they will be India’s volunteers,” he added.

Kejriwal further said these volunteers will take care of the needy in Delhi.

“These volunteers will ensure that no one sleeps hungry in Delhi, every child goes to school, no ill person is deprived of medical necessities, no person is homeless - guide them to night shelters and cleanliness in your locality,” he said.
