'No talks of supporting Congress, BJP is better for Hindutva', says VHP

VHP had earlier said that there is no hope left for the beginning of the construction of the temple in the current tenure of the government.

New Delhi: As the politics around Ram Temple issue heats up ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad has expressed displeasure with the Modi government and has said that it may consider supporting the Congress party if it mentions the Ram Temple issue in its manifesto. However, later while talking to ABP News , executive president of VHP Alok Kumar said that there is no talk of guving support to Congress, for Hindutva , BJP is better. Earlier, Kumar had said in a sarcastic remark that "if the Congress will include Ram Temple in its manifesto, then we can think of extending our support to it.”Kumar later denied talk of supporting Congress  and said for Hindutva BJP is better. Kumar had said that there is no hope left for the beginning of the construction of the temple in the current tenure of the government. He took a jibe at the BJP government and said that just like people have to wait for nine months before a child is born, the people of Ayodhya are ready to wait till 2025 for the temple of Lord Ram. It is to be noted that former Uttarakhand CM and senior Congress leader Harish Rawat had recently said that Ram Temple construction can begin only after Congress comes to power. He had said that BJP has reduced Ram Temple to a mere political agenda. It is a party of sinners which has no boundaries. We on the other hand believe in ethics and the Constitution. It is certain that Ram Temple can be built in Ayodhya only when Congress government comes to power in the Centre. Congress has said time and again that waiting for the Supreme Court’s verdict is the only possible solution of the issue. Modi government has also rejected the demand of an ordinance and has assured of a solution only after SC verdict. The Ayodhya dispute is presently in the Supreme Court and a five-judge-bench will hear the case on January 29. The delay in the SC hearing has led to outrage in a section of people.
