No Action Taken Against Accused After They Join BJP: Sharad Pawar On 'Misuse' Of Central Agencies
NCP chief Sharad Pawar spoke about the future of the Maha Vikas Aghadi as well as the opposition letter to PM Narendra Modi alleging misuse of central agencies.
New Delhi: NCP chief Sharad Pawar on Monday spoke about the letter that nine opposition leaders wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleging misuse of central agencies. The former chief minister made the remarks while speaking to reporters after the newly-elected Congress MLA from Kasba Peth Assembly constituency in Pune city, Ravindra Dhangekar, visited him at his residence.
"First signature in that letter is mine. We want PM to take our concerns seriously. For example, in the Kejriwal government the person who worked well in the education sector and was praised by many is being arrested," he said, as quoted by news agency ANI.
"There are many examples of such arrests. At the same time, those who had allegations had no action taken against them after they joined that party (BJP)," he added.

When asked if the MVA will contest elections jointly in the upcoming civic elections, Pawar said the NCP is looking into this aspect.
"However, my efforts will be to ensure that the constituents of MVA remain together, take joint decisions, and face the state Assembly and Lok Sabha elections together," he said, as quoted by news agency PTI.
"I am roaming in the state and the people are telling me that they want a change. They want us (the Opposition) to come together. These are people's sentiments," he added.
