Vijay Goel seeks priority for Delhi students in DU
New Delhi: Fomer BJP Delhi president Vijay Goel will be meeting HRD minister Smriti Irani today in relation to the Delhi University admissions. Goyal had put forth a demand to prioritise the students from Delhi over others in regards to admission in Delhi University colleges.
Goel demands that at least 85% of seats from 18 colleges of the University should be reserved for the students who have passed class 12 from Delhi schools.
Goel, who is also a former Rajya Sabha MP from Rajasthan, recently held a meeting with parents of Delhi students in order to gain their support.
Along with this he has also demanded a relief of 5% in the cut off list for the students from national capital. Goel has been constantly pushing for the same issue from past many years. His meeting with Smriti is scheduled for 3 pm today.
