UP Breathes Easy As Temperature Rises, But Winter Not Over Yet; Fog Alert Issued
The weather department has issued a fog alert for several cities in Uttar Pradesh, including Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gorakhpur, Deoria, and Mau.

UP Weather Today: Uttar Pradesh residents are finally breathing with some relief as the bone-chilling cold is subsiding. However, the India Meteorological Department has forecast that the winter is yet to be over. "Shallow to moderate fog during late night/morning hours and partly cloudy sky later. The maximum and minimum temperature will be around 27°C and 11°C respectively on January 24," an IMD bulletin read.
The IMD has forecast that the weather will remain dry on January 24. Apart from this, there is a possibility of dense fog in different places in Uttar Pradesh.
According to the daily bulletin issued by the IMD, there is a possibility of fog in Siddharthnagar, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gorakhpur, Deoria, Mau, Ballia, Ghazipur, Varanasi and Chandauli in Uttar Pradesh on January 24. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department is keeping a watch on the situation in Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Prayagraj, Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Ambedkarnagar, Basti, Gonda, Ayodhya, Barabanki, Bahraich, Balrampur, Shravasti, Kaushambi, Amethi, Sultanpur, Sitapur, Hardoi, Aligarh, Bijnor, Meerut, Sambhal, Badaun, Bareilly, Agra, and Mathura.
West-south-west winds at a speed of nearly 2 kmph are likely to have an impact in UP. The Meteorological Department has said that there is no possibility of any major change in the maximum temperature in the next 24 hours, but it is likely to fall by 2-4 degrees Celsius gradually.
