UP SHOCKER: Man thrashed to death after being pulled down from police van in Shamli

After the incident, Rajendra’s relatives placed his mortal remains on the road, which led to a traffic jam in the area. This also led to an argument between his family and the police officials.

New Delhi: An example of weak law and security condition in Uttar Pradesh has come to light from Shamli, where a man was pulled down fro, police’s dial 100 PCR van and was thrashed to death. The entire incident was recorded on camera, the video of which has now gone viral on social media. The incident took place in village Hathchoya which falls under the constituency of police station Jhinjhana. A man named Rajendra had an argument with a group of people from different community; post which the people of other community thrashed him with sticks.  Soon the police reached the spot and made Rajendra sit in their vehicle. But, the matter did not stop there. People pulled Rajendra out and thrashed him badly till he died. Deceased’s wife has accused half a dozen people of her village of killing her husband to death. Since the matter was sensitive and had to do with 2 communities, therefore soon senior officers also reached the spot to take cognizance of the situation. After much struggle, the police took the body and sent it for autopsy. After the incident, Rajendra’s relatives placed his mortal remains on the road, which led to a traffic jam in the area. This also led to an argument between his family and the police officials. The police have begun an investigation in the case. Attempts are being made to nab the culprits.
