UP: Rape accused MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar's name on flood-relief poster

LUCKNOW: In an event organised for flood relief by Yogi Adiyanath, Unnao Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar name was seen in the guest list on a poster.

The MLA, who was arrested by the CBI in connection with the alleged rape of 18-year-old-girl in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao district, is currently in the custody of the agency.
The CBI, which is probing the case, has registered three cases against Sengar in regard to the crime he allegedly committed last year.
Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Police had charged him under sections 363 (kidnapping), 366 (abduction of woman), 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, and handed over the case to the CBI.
As per reports, the CBI investigation revealed that the 17-year-old victim was raped by the MLA on June 4, after she was brought to his house by a woman named Shashi Singh on the pretext of providing her with a job in Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao district.
The girl kept quiet between June 4 and June 10, as she had been threatened. On April 13-14, the CBI arrested Sengar. Woman Shashi Singh, who is accused of taking the girl to the MLA, was also arrested.
