Unlock 1: Delhi Borders To Be Sealed For Next One Week, Says Kejriwal; Essential Services Exempted
Barbershops, salons will be allowed to open in Delhi while spas will remain closed, the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said as he announced several changes in the existing restrictions in the national capital.
New Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced that Delhi borders will remain sealed for next one week and only essential services will be allowed to make inter-border movement. Addressing a press conference Arvind Kejriwal announced several changes in the existing restrictions in the national capital. He also sought people's suggestion for the further course of action regarding Delhi borders. "We will take a decision again in one week to open borders after suggestions from citizens," he said.

His announcement comes soon after the Delhi-Noida border and Delhi-Gurugram border witnessed heavy vehicular traffic as commuters came out in large numbers on the first day of the Unlock-1. Massive jam was also seen today at the Delhi-Noida Direct (DND) way, which connects south Delhi with Noida.
Kejriwal also sought people's suggestions on whether or not to allow treatment of people from other states in the hospitals of Delhi. "Should Delhi’s hospitals be reserved for Delhi residents? We seek ur suggestions," he said.
What's allowed & what remains restricted: There will be restrictions on movement from 9 pm to 5 am In autos, e-rickshaws and other vehicles, as per earlier orders, the number of passengers was fixed. But now restrictions on number of passengers travelling in auto, e-rickshaws and other vehicles, is being lifted. Barbershops, salons will be allowed to open in Delhi while Spas will remain closed. The odd-even rule for shops in markets has been done away as the Central governmnet has not stated any such rule, Kejriwal said. So all shops can open now in Delhi.
