Uddhav Thackeray's Govt 'Most Corrupt In Maharashtra's History', Alleges Former CM Devendra Fadnavis
Fadnavis also said that it was due to Thackeray's desire 'to win over everyone' that senior leaders like Narayan Rane and Raj Thackeray had left the Shiv Sena fold. See full report below.
New Delhi: A day after Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray launched an attack on the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), Maharashtra's leader of opposition, Devendra Fadnavis has replied to him saying that the current state government is the “most corrupt in the history of Maharashtra”, reported TOI.
Thackeray had accused the Centre of misusing the agencies like CBI and ED, to which the former CM said that the agencies were in place after the order from the court.
Replying to Uddhav Thackeray on the ongoing drug bust case which involved superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan, Fadavis said, “Uddhav must decide whether he is with those supplying and consuming drugs or with the agencies.”

Uddhav Thackeray had said, "Drugs worth crores were seized from Mundra Port. Where is this Mundra port situated?" "While your agencies (NCB) were recovering pinch of ganja, our police recovered drugs worth Rs 150 crores. You are only interested to catch celebrities and get pictures clicked."
Fadnavis was speaking at an event in Nagpur. He also cited the Income Tax department and said that the IT dept reveal that Maharashtra has 'a government where dalals (brokers) held sway', TOI reported.
Apart from that, Fadnavis maintained the same things that he has been saying against the Maharashtra CM. He said that Thackeray's personal ambition did not allow any experienced politician in Shiv Sena to become CM. It was due to Thackeray's desire “to win over everyone” that senior leaders like Narayan Rane and Raj Thackeray had left the Shiv Sena fold.
Uddhav Thackeray also said that he never wanted to hold the post of Maharashtra's CM to which Fadnavis said, “For how long will Uddhav keep saying he didn’t want to be CM?”
“You (Uddhav) have formed the government by deceit,” Fadnavis alleged.
Last week, Devendra Fadnavis had said that he still feels that he is the CM of Maharashtra, despite not being in power for two years due to the “love of the people”.
Uddhav Thackeray then took a dig at Fadnavis by saying that he feels “Like a common man, not CM”.
The war of words between these two politicians doesn't seem like ending anytime soon.
