Toll payments, made digitally, to get 10% discount

NEW DELHI: Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday announced a 10 per cent discount on national highways' toll tax payments made through RFID or FASTag procured through digital payment mode. "All who pay toll tax through RFID (Radio-frequency identification) or FASTag procured through digital payment will get 10 per cent discount," Jaitley told the media on the completion of one month of demonetisation. Government today announced 11 steps to promote digital payments following demonetisation. The date for rolling out the scheme will be notified shortly, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said.
