Telangana Teacher Caught Brutally Assaulting Student, Parents Demand Swift Action

In the footage before the assault, the teacher of Manasa Vikasa School in Gollagudem can be seen approaching the boy who was standing in a corridor near his seated classmates.

In Telangana, a teacher was caught on video beating a young student in front of his classmates. The disturbing video, recorded at Manasa Vikasa School in Gollagudem, Bhadradri Kothagudem district, shows the teacher ruthlessly hitting and dragging the boy. The teacher in question is reportedly the class teacher of the student.

In the footage, the teacher can be seen approaching the boy, who was standing in a corridor near his seated classmates. Without hesitation, the teacher forcefully holds the student down, delivering multiple blows to his back, according to a report on NDTV. Despite the boy's cries of pain and visible discomfort, the assault continues. The teacher briefly pauses to move his phone from his front pocket before resuming the attack, hitting the boy several more times.

Afterwards, the teacher instructs the boy to stand up, gestures towards a notebook, and then tosses it to the ground, demanding the boy pick it up. When the boy bends down to comply, the teacher strikes him again, drags him along the floor, and administers further blows. The nature of the assault has sparked widespread outrage.

Upon learning about the incident, the boy's parents rushed to the school and confronted the administration, reported News18. They demanded immediate action. In tears after viewing the shocking footage of their child being beaten without any justification, the parents' anguish has added to the growing calls for accountability.

Local authorities have since launched an investigation into the matter.

This case mirrors a similar incident that took place recently in Pune, Maharashtra, where a teacher was caught on camera beating a sixth-grade student for failing to tuck in his shirt. Following that incident, a case was registered by the police, highlighting the recurring issue of excessive punishment in schools.
