Student found hanging in IIT Kharagpur

“He used to share the room with another student who could not find him for a long time and alerted the security on Wednesday night”.

Midnapore (WB):  In a tragic incident a 24-year-old MTech student of IIT Kharagpur killed self in his hostel room on Thursday. As per the police, the deceased was found hanging from the ceiling fan. The deceased G Amini Reddy belonged to a farmer's family of Andhra Pradesh. Speaking on the incident, Superintendent of police Alok Rajoria said, “He used to share the room with another student who could not find him for a long time and alerted the security on Wednesday night”. As the police was informed, they broke open the door and found Reddy, a final year student of electrical engineering, hanging from the ceiling fan of his room which was locked from inside. The police official also said that the autopsy will be done on Thursday.
