Several other event pages reported Shatrughan’s presence in Lahore. The development may land up the former Lok Sabha member in a controversy for visiting the country amid tensed political relations. Here is another video posted by opmshoots a photography page based in Pakistan.
The relations between India and Pakistan had nose-dived following the Pulwama attack and the ensuing aerial conflict between the two countries. It further deteriorated after Pakistan raised baseless objections to India’s step of abrogating Article 370 which gave special status to Jammu and Kashmir. Another star Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu has time and again found himself at the centre of controversy for his friendly terms with the country’s PM Imran Khan. Popular Bollywood singer Mika Singh was banned by All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) after his performance in Pakistan. The event he performed in Pakistan was organised by former Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf's close relative.
