PM Modi Holds Talks With Republic Day Chief Guest Indonesian Prez Subianto To Boost Defence, Cybersecurity
Prime Minister Modi and Indonesian President Subianto held talks, exchanging MoUs between India and Indonesia amidst Republic Day celebrations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto on Saturday held talks on bilateral cooperation at Hyderabad House in Delhi. Prabowo Subianto is the chief guest for India's 76th Republic Day celebrations.

During the meet, MoUs were exchanged between India and Indonesia.

After holding the meeting with President Subianto, PM Modi said that he two nations were taking forward the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership that India and Indonesia had agreed to in 2018.
"To increase cooperation in the defence sector, we have decided to work together in defence manufacturing and supply. We have also emphasised on cooperation in maritime security, cyber security, counter-terrorism and de-radicalisation. The agreement signed today in maritime safety and security will further strengthen our cooperation in crime prevention, search and rescue and capacity building," PM Modi said.
He added that India-Indonesia bilateral trade has grown manyfolds, eventually exceeding USD 30 billion.

Hailing the relation between India and Indonesia, PM Modi said both the countries were committed to maintaining peace, security, prosperity and rule of law.

The Indonesian President also expressed his gratitude for the honour given to him on his first state visit to India. He said, “We had a very intensive, very frank discussion between Prime Minister Modi and his government and myself and my government."
