Ram Mandir Construction In Ayodhya To Begin Soon; 'Bhumi Poojan' Date Likely To Be Announced Today

The construction of the grand temple at Ramjanmbhoomi in Ayodhya will be decided in today's meeting. An invitation for the Bhumi Poojan has been sent to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

New Delhi: The date for the construction of Ram Mandir will be announced soon and is likely to begin next month. Nripendra Mishra, head of the Ram temple construction committee, has arrived in Ayodhya and is camping near the sacred site. The news came in after the trust members confirmed that they have sent an invite to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and they will most likely confirm the date of 'bhumi poojan' today. ALSO READ|140 Tirupati Temple Staff Including Priests Test Covid Positive; TTD Refuses To Stop Public Darshans Nripendra Mishra, who was the Principal Secretary to PM Modi, will attend the proposed Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust meeting in Ayodhya on July 18. Along with Nripendra Mishra, a team of big engineers has also come to Ayodhya, which will closely inspect the construction of the temple. Bhoomi puja will be done at the Garbh Griha to mark the formal beginning of the construction of the grand temple and the invites have been sent out for the same. The Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat is also expected to attend the event. According to reports, Mahant Das said that the seers do not want the 'bhoomi poojan' to be done via video conferencing or any other virtual way and want the prime minister to come to Ayodhya in-person to join the inauguration program. The construction of the Ram temple was stopped in March due to the nationwide lockdown imposed by the government to curb the spread of coronavirus.
