Earlier today, worshippers flocked to Ayodhya's Ram Temple to catch a glimpse of the Ram Lalla idol, which was sanctified yesterday. The Pran Pratishtha was attended by notable figures from politics, film, sports, and other fields.
PM Modi conducted the spectacular ceremony, with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat by his side. Following the event, Prime Minister Modi addressed the audience with an emotional speech about the long wait for the day. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also stated that the Ram Mandir was erected where it was decided to be, saying, 'Mandir wahin bana hai jahan banane ka sankalp lia tha'. [The temple has been built where we had resolved to build it].
The devotees arrived at the temple at 3 a.m. and waited outside to offer prayers and get a glimpse of Lord Ram. Visuals showed worshippers queuing outside the temple grounds, and cries of 'Jai Shri Ram' could be heard. The whole country and Indian diaspora throughout the world celebrated the temple's opening and the consecration of Ram Lalla's idol, with accolades pouring in for Prime Minister Modi. Even though the Congress declined the invitation to the ceremony, a few party leaders disobeyed the party line and attended the event.
