The chief minister's office denied that the mike was thrown at the district collector in an earlier interpretation of the video clip. "The mike was not thrown at the district collector," news agency PTI reported citing an official.
The incident occurred on Friday night at the Barmer Circuit House, while the chief minister was interacting with a group of women to solicit feedback on various government schemes aimed at them.
When the chief minister attempted to address the group, the microphone malfunctioned, and he threw it.
When the chief minister noticed some people standing behind the group of women, he lost his cool and asked them to leave. "Where has the SP (superintendent of police) gone?" "Both SP and collector appear to be similar," he observed.
Gehlot was in Barmer for a two-day tour.
During the event, the women informed the chief minister about the various benefits of the schemes and thanked him for raising the Anganwadi workers' honorarium.
