'Plot To Harm My Reputation': Raghav Chadha On Reports Naming Him In ED Chargesheet
AAP leader Raghav Chadha has warned of legal action unless the "false" reports of him being named as an accused in the Delhi liquor policy case by the ED are taken down and a clarification is issued.
Aam Aadmi Party MP Raghav Chadha on Tuesday said that he has not been named as accused, suspect, or witness in the Delhi liquor policy case by the Enforcement Directorate. "The news is false and fabricated. I am neither named as accused nor as suspect, or witness in any ED complaint. It's propaganda to harm my reputation and credibility," Raghav Chadha said.
Raghav Chadha's name was mentioned by Manish Sisodia's former secretary C Arvind in his statements. Along with Chadha, the ED has also mentioned the names of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and AAP's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh in its charge sheet.
However, some media reports allegedly mentioned that Raghav Chadha had been named as an accused. Soon after these reports started circulating, the AAP leader warned of legal action unless the reports are taken down and a clarification is issued. Chadha, however, acknowledged that his name appeared to have been mentioned as an attendee of a meeting. "...though the basis of such an allegation is not clear," he stated.
