New Delhi: Pro-Khalistan slogans were on Saturday seen on the walls of a Session Judge's residence in Punjab's Faridkot. Superintendent of Police Avneet Kaur Sidhu pointed to a video released by Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, general counsel of banned outfit 'Sikhs for Justice' (SFJ), in the matter. Pannu was booked as the 'main accused' in the case pertaining to 'Khalistan' flags found tied on the main gate of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly complex on May 8. Police had also registered an FIR under sections 153-A and 153-B of IPC, section 3 of HP Open Places (Prevention of Disfigurement) Act, 1985, and section 13 of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) at Dharamshala Police station after the flags incident.

In an image shared by news agency ANI, the slogan on the wall of a Session Judge's residence in Faridkot reads 'Khalistan Zindabad'.

SSP Faridkot, Avneet Kaur Sidhu said: "A video of SFJ activist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu has come to light and slogans were written on walls. CCTV cameras being checked and investigation being done."

The incident is reported days after intelligence agencies issued an alert for the concerned security agencies and state police over an SFJ video allegedly asking Punjab-based gangsters to join the banned outfit for killing Indian Army officers who led Operation Blue Star at Amritsar's Golden Temple in 1984.

Intelligence Agencies Issue Alert After SFJ Calls On Punjab Gangsters To Join Hands For Killing Blue Star Veterans

According to ANI, the input shared with security agencies pointed to incitement on social media portals by Gurpatwant Singh Pannun as he released a video saying, "Don't kill the rising artist, if only bullets are to be fired. The Indian Army officer who led the operation Blue Star, General Kuldeep Brar, and Brigadier Israr Khan are enemies of the Sikh community and are responsible for the attack on the Swarna temple, Amritsar 1984."

"A reward of 100,000 US dollars will be given by the SFJ for reporting the foreign tours of these two officers. SFJ has called on Punjab gangsters Jaggu Bhagwanpuria, Lawrence Bishnoi, Dilpreet Baba to participate in the Khalistan plebiscite and announced protection and reward for them. And on June 6, 2022, in Sri Akal Takht Sahib, voting will be announced for the campaign for the independence of Punjab, Khalistan referendum," ANI quoted the security inputs as stating.

In the nearly two-minute-long video released by the SFJ, the pictures of Army veterans have reportedly been used to give a call for the Khalistan referendum on June 6.

A senior official said told ANI that security agencies are keeping a close watch on social media and they request people not to share such videos.

Meanwhile, more details about the incident of pro-Khalistan slogan in Faridkot are awaited.
