PM Modi To Hold An All Party Meet On Dec 4 For Covid-19 Vaccine Roadmap
The all-party meeting aims to develop a system to administer the Covid-19 vaccine in the country as very soon as one will be available.
The Union government has called for an all-party meeting Friday, December 4, in view to discuss the current coronavirus situation in the country. According to official sources, the meeting will be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will be including the floor leaders of all the parties in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
The all-party meeting aims to develop a system to administer the Covid-19 vaccine in the country as very soon as one will be available.
The meeting comes after PM Modi visited and reviewed the different manufacturing facilities of the Covid-19 vaccine in the country, which has till now infected more than 94 lakh people in the country.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said that PM Modi spoke to three teams working on the development and manufacture of COVID-19 vaccines at Genova Biopharmaceuticals Ltd, Pune; Biological E Ltd, Hyderabad; and Dr Roddy's Laboratories Ltd, Hyderabad, after the PM on Monday morning held a virtual conference and spoke to the scientists working on the Covid-19 vaccine in the country.
“The PM appreciated the efforts being taken by the scientists in these companies to come out with a vaccine solution to tackle COVID-19. The potential of various platforms for vaccine development was also discussed,” the PMO said.
“PM Narendra Modi also asked the companies to come out with their suggestions and ideas regarding the regulatory processes and related matters. He also suggested that they should take extra efforts to inform the general public in simple language about the vaccine,” the PMO stated.

On November 28, in order to witness the preparations for the development of COVID-19 vaccines and review the challenges and roadmap for the vaccination programme, PM Modi traveled to the Serum Institute of India in Pune, Zydus Biotech Park in Ahmedabad and Bharat Biotech facility at Hyderabad.
According to Health Ministry data, the total number of cases in the country stands at 94,31,691 with 88,47,600 recoveries. While 1,37,139 Indians have lost the battle of life to the disease.
