PM Modi thanks people of Delhi for MCD poll victory

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday thanked the people of Delhi for bestowing their "faith" in BJP as it marched towards a clean sweep in the MCD polls. "Grateful to the people of Delhi for the faith in BJP," Prime Minister Modi tweeted. Modi also praised the Delhi party unit for the stupendous victory in the civic elections.

"I laud the hardwork of team @BJP4Delhi (Delhi BJP) which made the resounding MCD win possible," he also said. His tweet came as the BJP recorded a significant victory in polls to all the three municipal corporations of Delhi. However, the Aam Aadmi Party has continued to allege tampering of EVMs in the loss they suffered.
