Modi In Haryana: PM Launches Projects Worth Rs 9,750 Crore In Rewari

PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of multiple development projects in Haryana's Rewari.

PM Modi In Haryana: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was on a visit to Rewari in Haryana, inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of multiple development projects worth more than Rs 9,750 crore related to urban transport, health, rail and tourism sector.

PM Modi laid the foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Rewari, Haryana. According to the press release, AIIMS Rewari is to be built at a cost of about Rs 1650 crore. It will be developed on 203 acres of land at village Majra Mustil Bhalkhi in Rewari.

According to a press release, AIIMS Rewari will have facilities including the Hospital Complex with 720 beds, Medical College with 100 seats, Nursing College with 60 seats, AYUSH Block with 30 beds, residential accommodation for faculty and staff, hostel accommodation for UG and PG students, Night Shelter, Guest House, Auditorium etc," the release stated.

On laying the foundation stone of AIIMS Rewari, PM said, "Today we have laid the foundation stone of AIIMS Rewari, and we will also inaugurate it too. With the new AIIMS, you will get better treatment, and the youth will also get the opportunity to become doctors. Many opportunities for employment and self-employment will also be created," as quoted by news agency ANI. The Prime Minister also reiterated the "400 seats pitch" during his address. "Ab Ki Baar 400 paar" for NDA," PM Modi said.

"If the G20 summit was successful, it was because of your blessings. India's flag reached the moon where no one could; it happened with your blessings. In the last 10 years, India rose from 11th position to become the fifth largest economy in the world. In my third term, I need your blessings to make India the third-largest economy in the world in the coming years..," he said.

PM Modi came down heavily on the Congress for allegedly "delaying" the construction of the Ram Mandir, and stated that the Congress people, who used to think Lord Ram was "imaginary", have also started chanting 'Jai Siya Ram'.
The remarks came while addressing a public rally in Haryana's Rewari district on Friday.

"The country wished that a grand Ram temple should be built in Ayodhya, today, the whole country is seeing Ram Lalla sitting in the grand Ram temple. The Congress people, who used to think Lord Ram was imaginary, who never wanted Ram temples to be built, have also started chanting Jai Siya Ram...," PM Modi said, as quoted by ANI.

"The country wished that the credibility of the Bharat should enhance at the global level. We (the government) have done it," PM Modi said.

Taking a dig at the previous Congress-led United Progressive Alliance, the Prime Minister said, "Before 2014, an average of Rs 300 crores was announced in the budget for the development of railways in Haryana. This year, around Rs 3,000 crore has been kept in the budget for the railways. This is the difference of just 10 years."

PM Modi also laid the foundation stone of Gurugram Metro Rail project which will be developed at a cost of about Rs 5450 crore. According to a press release, the project, with a total length of 28.5 Kms, will connect Millennium City Centre to Udyog Vihar Phase-5 and merge in the existing metro network of Rapid Metro Rail Gurugram at Moulsari Avenue station near Cyber City. It will also have a spur at Dwarka Expressway.

The project is an important step towards realising the Prime Minister’s vision to provide citizens with world class environment-friendly mass rapid urban transport systems, the press release had stated.
