PM Modi Hails ‘Sant Parampara’ For India Being An Ancient Living Civilization

Prime Minister Modi said the credit goes to the “sant parampara” of India and the saints and sages of India.

New Delhi: Expressing immense proud in India being one of the one of the most ancient living civilizations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said the nation is eternal because it is the land of saints. “Today the nation is celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. We are proud that we are one of the most ancient living civilizations,” news agency ANI quoted Prime Minister Modi as saying in Dehu, Pune.

Prime Minister Modi said the credit goes to the “sant parampara” of India and the saints and sages of India.

“India is eternal because it is the land of saints,” he added.

Prime Minister Modi said one or the other great soul does appear in every era to show the path to the country and society.

“Today we are celebrating Sant Kabir Das Jayanti. It is also the 725th year of the samadhi of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj, Sant Nivruttinath Maharaj, Sant Sopandeo and Adishakti Muktabai,” he added.

Prime Minister Modi said that he got the opportunity a few months back to lay the foundation stone at Palkhi Marg to turn two National Highways into four-lane.

“The construction of Shri Sant Gyaneshwar Maharaj Palkhi Marg will be done in five phases and that of Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi Marg in three phases,” he added.

Prime Minister Modi further said over 350 km long highways will be built at the cost of more than Rs 11,000 crores.

“With all these efforts, the development of the area will pick up the pace,” he added.

Prime Minister Modi, who earlier prayed to Sant Tukaram in Pune, said his “ideals motivate several people and inspires us to serve others and nurture a compassionate society”.

“PM @narendramodi praying to Sant Tukaram Ji in Pune. The ideals of Sant Tukaram motivate several people. He inspires us to serve others and nurture a compassionate society,” the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) tweeted.
