New Delhi: Do you face a lot of call drops while travelling across the national capital? Do you stop hearing the voice at the other suddenly amid conversation? There are at least 120 crore mobile users in the country, who are facing the issue of call drop and call mute; of these 94% are pre-paid users. For these users, every time there is a call drop; they have to call back again which costs them equal to one fresh call. Also, not just waste of money, it is also a waste of time.
These call-drops usually take place because of lack of connectivity with the mobile towers. The problem is even worse while travelling in the Delhi metro. But, DG of Cellular Operations Associations says that smartphones are one major problem for cellular companies. As per Rajan, the inexpensive cellphones which are purchased from outside India, when brought near mobile towers, attract a lot of power; due to which the neighbouring places suffer.
