Ravi Shankar Prasad, Prakash Javadekar Among 12 Ministers To Exit Modi Cabinet; Prez Accepts Resignation

New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind has accepted the resignation of 12 members of the Council of Ministers with immediate effect. The biggest shocker on the list is Ravi Shankar Prasad and Prakash Javadekar.

It is being reported that the entire flip-flop situation with social media platforms, especially Twitter, and the reported mismanagement is the reason Ravi Shankar Prasad has been asked to resign from the Union Cabinet. Sources also informed ABP News that he might get a functioning post in the BJP framework.

  • Rattan Lal Kataria
  • Pratap Chandra Sarangi
  • Debasree Chaudhuri

The development comes as 43 ministers are set to be inducted into the Union Cabinet and will be sworn-in shortly at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The new faces set to join the Union Cabinet include former Congress Madhya Pradesh heavyweight Jyotiraditya Scindia who is now in the BJP, former Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal, MoS Anurag Thakur, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader and Chirag Paswan's uncle Pashupati Kumar Paras, former Maharashtra chief minister Narayan Rane and Janata Dal (United) national chief RCP Singh among others.

The Cabinet expansion will be the first in Prime Minister Modi’s second term after he returned to power in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
