'Symbol Of India's Relentless Fight For Justice': PM Modi, Other Leaders Pay Tribute To Bhagat Singh On His Birth Anniversary

On the birth anniversary of Shaheed Bhagat Singh several leaders took to X to speak about the inspiration the freedom fight remains even after all these years.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday paid tribute to freedom fighter Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary. Modi stated that the legendary freedom fighter will always be a symbol of India's relentless fight for justice and liberty.

"Remembering Shaheed Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary. His sacrifice and unwavering dedication to the cause of India's freedom continue to inspire generations. A beacon of courage, he will forever be a symbol of India's relentless fight for justice and liberty," Modi posted on X.

Born on September 28, 1907, in Punjab’s Banga town, Shaheed Bhagat Singh continues to inspire people, especially young Indians. He was executed in the Lahore Central Jail, now in Pakistan, on March 23, 1931 at the age of 23 along with his associates Rajguru and Sukhdev.

Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that Bhagat Singh’s dedication and sacrifice towards the country will inspire every generation of India.

“I remember and salute the true son of Mother India and immortal revolutionary, Sardar Bhagat Singh, on his birth anniversary. Without caring for his life, he fought throughout his life to liberate India. His dedication, sacrifice and sacrifice towards the country will continue to inspire every generation of India,” he tweeted on X in Hindi.

Union Home Amit Shah said in a tweet that Bhagat Singh worked to unite the divided India in the struggle for freedom.

“On one hand, Bhagat Singh ji worked to bring the foreign rule to its knees with his patriotism, while on the other hand, with his ideas, he worked to unite the divided India in the struggle for freedom. The wave of independence became more powerful in the whole of India with the supreme sacrifice of Bhagat Singh ji, who was happily hanged for the freedom of the country.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that Bhagat Singh will forever remain immortal in and he will continue to rule our hearts and minds till the end of the world.

Patriotism is my body.. and the intention is revolutionary..! Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh... who will continue to rule our hearts and minds till the end of the world... Bhagat Singh's slogans of revolution will continue to cool the fire of oppression whenever it arises...Today, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, I sincerely salute the revolutionary soul...Bhagat Singh will always remain immortal in our thoughts,” he tweeted in Punjabi.


Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the freedom fighter’s sacrifice inspire us to continue to serve the country.

“Humble tribute to Bhagat Singh, the great revolutionary and immortal son of Mother India, on his birth anniversary! The saga of sacrifice, struggle and sacrifice he has written for the freedom of the motherland will continue to inspire us to serve the country from age to age”, the CM tweeted in Hindi.

Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s death inspired thousands of people to join the freedom movement.
