PM Modi, Amit Shah, Ajit Doval To Attend 56th DGP Conference In Lucknow Today

DGP Conference Lucknow: The Conference is scheduled to be held from November 20 to 21, 2021.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Adviser Ajit Doval will attend the 56th Conference of Director Generals of Police (DGP) and Inspector Generals of Police (IGP) at Police Headquarters, Lucknow on Saturday, November 20, 2021.

The Conference is scheduled to be held from November 20 to 21, 2021. The conference will be held in a hybrid style over two days. Top cops or DGPs from states and union territories, as well as Chiefs of Central Armed Police Forces and Central Police Organizations, will attend the conference in person in Lucknow, while the rest of the invitees will participate online from 37 various places at IB/SIB Headquarters.

Amit Shah, the Home Minister, and Ajit Doval, the National Security Adviser, will also be in Lucknow for the top security conference.

Issues such as Cyber Crime, Data Governance, Counter-Terrorism challenges, Left Wing Extremism, Emerging Trends in Narcotics trafficking, Prison Reforms among various others will be discussed during the conference,

The Prime Minister has been taking a keen interest in the DGPs' conference since 2014. Unlike his previous symbolic participation, PM Modi attends all sessions of the conference and promotes free and informal conversations that allow top police officers to directly update the Prime Minister on important policing and internal security matters impacting the country.

According to the Prime Minister's vision, yearly conferences, which were formerly held in Delhi, have been hosted outside of Delhi from 2014, with the exception of 2020, when the conference was held online in view of the covid-19 pandemic.
