Man Attempts To Enter Via VIP Entry Of Parliament With A Knife In Hand, Nabbed

The police have taken the accused for questioning and are attempting to find out whether the state of mind of the accused is fine or not; and also if it was a genuine conspiracy.

New Delhi: In a major attempt to breach security at the parliament, a man tried to enter the premises via gate number 1 on Monday morning, creating hustle in the high security area. The accused was stopped by security officials and was nabbed and taken into police custody. As per reports, the accused was on a bike and carried a knife in his hand. He tried to enter premises via Gate no. 1 which is meant for the VIPs like President and Prime Minister. As per sources, the accused, who is a resident of Laxmi Nagar, East Delhi; was chanting slogans for rape and murder accused self styled godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim. The police have taken the accused for questioning and are attempting to find out whether the state of mind of the accused is fine or not; and also if it was a genuine conspiracy.
