Pakistan On High Alert After Pahalgam Attack, Ex-High Commissioner To India Warns Of Retaliation

Pakistan is on high alert after the Pahalgam terror attack, expecting retaliation from India. Pakistan has put its Air Force on alert and is taking measures to prevent any revenge attack.

Pakistan is now on high alert and is expecting a retaliation from Indian security forces after the dastardly terror attack in Pahalgam on Tuesday. While Pakistan has put its Air Force along the border areas on alert, former Pakistani High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit has also said that India is most likely to retaliate.

The responsibility for the attack was claimed by the Lashkar-e-Taiba-affiliated The Resistance Force (TRF). The terror attack killed at least 26 people.

Former Pakistani ambassador to Germany and ex-High Commissioner to India, Abdul Basit, said: "I am sure Islamabad is taking all possible measures to thwart any Indian misadventure against Pakistan. I have no doubt this time Pakistan’s response would be very hard."

Meanwhile, reconnaissance aircraft of the Pakistani Air Force are monitoring the airspace adjacent to India to prevent India from taking revenge like in Balakot. India hit back at Pakistan with the Balakot airstrike in 2019 after Jaish-e-Muhammad orchestrated an attack on a CRPF convoy in Pulwama. As many as 40 jawans were martyred in the attack.
