New Delhi: National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Tuesday sent out a tough message to Pakistan and hinted at continued action against terror and those who support terror. He said that the country never forgot the February 14 Pulwama attack and will never forget it. Speaking at the 80th CRPF Anniversary Parade in Gurugram, Doval said “The nation has not forgotten and will never forget the martyrdom of the 40 brave jawans (who died in Pulwama attack). The leadership will decide on the time and locations to act. Be it against terrorists or those who support and harbour the terrorists.” On the Pulwama attack, he said : “Past events are not so important when we plan for future. Important is the estimation of our technologies, opportunities, strength and vulnerabilities for future.” Paying his tribute to the 40 martyrs of the attack, Doval who was the Chief Guest of the CRPF anniversary parade said: “Whenever we have meetings and discuss about which force to send, how many battalions should be sent and where... we always say, send CRPF, it’s a credible force and we can completely trust them. It takes years to achieve such credibility” said Doval. Doval reviewed the CRPF parade and addressed its troops as the paramilitary force marked the 80th year of its raising. The NSA is the chief guest at the event held at the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officers training academy and group centre in Gurgaon's Kadarpur. The paramilitary force was raised in 1939 under the British. This is the second time that Doval attended as the chief guest a martial event conducted by any of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) since he was appointed as the top security officer by the Modi government in 2014. Doval had reviewed an Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) parade in 2015 when the  force guarding the China border marked the 54th years of its raising. The CRPF, the country's largest CAPF with over 3-lakh personnel in its ranks, has been celebrating its rasing day on March 19 since the last year to commemorate the act of the force being given the Presidents colours this day in 1950 by the then Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The CRPF, at present, has over 250 battalions and it has been designated by the government as the lead internal security, anti-Naxal operations force and counterterrorism unit in Jammu and Kashmir.
