'Not Here To Capture Power': TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee In Goa Ahead Of 2022 Assembly Polls
The TMC Supremo in her address said that she wants to see Goa as strong as West Bengal in future.
New Delhi: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that she is not in Goa to capture the power for herself but will aid in the process of developing the tourist state, ANI reported.
While addressing the party leaders in Panaji, the TMC supremo said, "I am just like your sister, I didn't come here to capture your power. It touches my heart if we can help people when they face trouble. You will do your job, we will just help you in the process."

The TMC Supremo in her address said that she wants to see Goa as strong as West Bengal in future. Further while answering the questions coming up on her visit to the tourist state, Banerjee said, "Somebody's questioning 'Mamata Ji is in Bengal, how will she do it in Goa?' Why not? I'm Indian, I can go anywhere. You can go anywhere."
"I believe in secularism. I believe in unity. I believe India is our motherland. If Bengal is my motherland, then Goa is also my motherland," she adds.
On Friday, Bollywood actress Nafisa Ali and Mrinalini Deshprabhu joined the Goa Trinamool Congress in presence of the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

According to the press note released by the party, as many as 300 people have joined the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) on October 24, 2021, in three different events in the coastal state.
Earlier on Thursday, West Bengal CM arrived in Goa. At the airport, she was welcomed by saffron group protesters chanting "Jai Shri Ram" slogans and waving black flags. Hoardings of "Jai Shri Ram" had been put across the state to rile TMC supremo on her visit to the tourist state. However, the BJP State unit chief has denied the party's involvement in this.
