The Safdarjung Observatory, Delhi's primary weather station, received a rainfall of 18.6 mm over the last 24 hours, while the Palam station recorded 23.7 mm shower.

New Delhi: After three days of intermittent showers, Delhi woke up to a rainless morning on Sunday, with the minimum temperature settling at 22.6 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season’s average, India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. However, the weather office has predicted light drizzle during the day.

As per IMD, Delhi is likely to witness partly cloudy sky with a possibility of very light rain and drizzle during the day. The relative humidity recorded at 8:30 am was 93 per cent and the maximum temperature is likely to reach around 29 degrees Celsius.

The Safdarjung Observatory, Delhi's primary weather station, received a rainfall of 18.6 mm over the last 24 hours, while the Palam station recorded 23.7 mm shower.

Meanwhile, Delhi's air quality index (AQI) was recorded in the good (49) category around 9 am, as per Central Pollution Control Board data.

It is to be noted that an AQI between zero and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘very poor’ and 401 and 500 ‘severe’.

Notably, rains lashed Delhi for the third consecutive day on Saturday causing traffic snarls at some places and throwing life out of gear in the morning, even though the minimum temperature settled a notch above the normal for the season.

The national capital received 15 mm of rainfall from 8.30 am on Friday to 8.30 am on Saturday, according to data shared by the IMD.

According to the weather office, light to moderate intensity rain occurred over and in the adjoining areas of entire Delhi and NCR, including Hindon AF Station, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Dadri, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad, Manesar and Ballabhgarh.
