Massive slum blaze in Jammu, 3 killed

Jammu: Three people died and six other got injured on Saturday in a devastating fire that destroyed over 150 "Jhuggis" in Jammu, officials said. Ramesh Gupta, superintendent of medical college hospital Jammu said three charred bodies were brought to the mortuary of the hospital during the night while six persons suffering critical burn injuries were being treated. Image courtesy: ANI Image courtesy: ANI The fire started in Narwal area of Jammu city around 12 a.m. in the slum area where dozens of families of Rohingya Muslims who were uprooted from Myanmar because of persecution have taken shelter.
