Lucknow: Senior police officials indulge in ‘scuffle’ publicly; probe launched
Lucknow: Amid the buzz to celebrate the International Yoga day on June 21, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to participate, Lucknow police does not seem to be in coordination with the event.
In a shocking video, which is going viral on social media, a Senior Superintendent of Police Deepak Kumar, and SP of Special Investigation team Nageshwar Singh engaged in a spat publicly, while on duty at the Rama Bai Ambedkar University, Lucknow.
In the viral video, the senior police officials were seen arguing in a plenum.
UP Police is busy preparing to host the International Yoga Day in the presence of PM Narendra Modi.
On 18th June there was a dispute between SP Deepak Kumar and SP, SIT Nageshwar Singh, when the latter, accused Deepak Kumar for arriving late at the venue. According to the video, Deepak Kumar also asked him to leave the premises but the SP, SIT was in no mood to go calm, rather he kept on protesting for Deepak Kumar’s late arrival.
Later, an audio clip of a phone call between RI Shivpratap and SP, SIT also went viral which contradicts Nageshwar Singh’s claim. According to the audio clip, SP, SIT can be heard asking about the venue details and it is clear that he was informed to reach at 6:00 p.m at the Ramabai Ambedkar University.
This audio clip negates the false allegations imposed publicly by SP, SIT Deepak Kumar in the plenum, where he claimed that they were asked to report their at 5:00 p.m. After the audio clip, further probe has been initiated on finding out the reason behind Nageshwar Singh’s false accusations on his senior official.
