Land deal scam: Trouble mounts for Khadse as BJP mulls action

NEW DELHI: Trouble mounted for Maharashtra Revenue Minister Eknath Khadse, presently embroiled on charges of dealing with 'black money' in the purchase of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday said that a decision would soon be taken regarding his fate in the party. Maharashtra CM Fadnavis submitted report on land scam sought by BJP chief Amit Shah. The BJP chief had asked for the report from Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and state BJP unit. Fadnavis is coming to Delhi to meet Amit Shah regarding this. "The way the matter has been brought to light in the media, some facts can be highlighted. With new facts out, Eknath Khadse is under a cloud of suspicion and the party is sure to take a decision soon," former Mumbai police commissioner and now BJP leader Satyapal Singh said.
