L-G Kiran Bedi's 'incognito' patrol in Puducherry
Kiran Bedi ventured out 'camouflaged' at night in Puducherry to get first hand experience of how safe the UT is at night. After the late night rounds, she went for 6 AM cleanliness round the very next morning.
New Delhi: Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, Kiran Bedi took to streets in incognito mode on Friday night, to find out how safe is the place for women at night. Wearing a 'Salwar Kurta' and partially covering her face with dupatta , Bedi was riding pillion on a scooty with another woman.
After she returned back from the midnight patrolling, she wrote in her tweet: ''Just back from a night round. Went pillion riding on a scooter camouflaged. One comment said : ''with super cop as the governor, Puducherry has to be the safest place.'' After the night round on scooty, Bedi took to streets early morning on cycle for 98th 6AM rounds for giving out the message of Swachh Puducherry. She shared two pictures in one of which she is seen as a pillion on scooty and the other one in which she is seen riding cycle at 6 AM.
