Khela Hobe 2.0 in Bengal: TMC Will Not Survive December, BJP MLA Hints At ‘Big Move’ By Her Party
BJP leader Agnimitra Paul has said that the BJP has a strategy that would oust the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government from power.
BJP’s Asansol MLA Agnimitra Paul on Tuesday said that her party is planning a big move that could bring down the Mamata Banerjee government in West Bengal. Labelling the party’s strategy as a “boro khela [big game]”, Paul said that the Trinamool Congress government’s existence is at stake now.
“There will be a 'khela' here in December. More than 30 TMC MLAs are in contact with our party. They know that their government will not exist after December," Paul told news agency ANI.
Accusing the Mamata Banerjee government of indulging in corruption, Agnimitra Paul said that the state is moving towards a "financial emergency".
"We will not reveal our strategy, but something will happen. Our leadership is repeatedly claiming that there will be a big khela in December. We are moving towards a financial emergency. It is a bankrupt government. They do not have money. How would they work? As many as 50 per cent of those running the state are in jail. The rest will also go. Who will run the government then," she asked.

West Bengal BJP president Sukanta Majumdar made a similar claim a few weeks ago. He said that Mamata Banerjee would be arrested soon and that more than 40 TMC leaders had contacted his party. "Mamata Banerjee may be arrested by December. 41 TMC people's names are with top leadership. The government will fall in December," Majumdar said.
BJP leader and film star Mithun Chakraborty had claimed to be in touch with 21 TMC MLAs.
Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari had said that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) were doing their jobs and that the TMC would not last even six months. “December is their deadline," he had said.
