Kerala Issues New Public Guidelines For 1 year: Here's All You Need To Know
The Kerala government has issued the guidelines for at least 1 year until further notified. The total number of confirmed cases in the state stands at 5204 while 25 people have succumbed to the virus.
New Delhi: Amid the massive surge in Coronavirus cases the Kerala government issued guidelines for at least 1-year making masks and social distancing mandatory. The guidelines have been enforced until July 2021 and have been issued in an amendment brought to the Epidemic Disease Act.

The guidelines have been issued amid the growing fears of the community transmission stage. Any violation of the guidelines will result in a fine up to Rs 10,000 or to 2 years of jail term.
Here's are the guidelines issued by Kerala Govt:
- Wearing masks compulsory in workplaces, public places.
- Spitting is prohibited in public places, roads, footpaths.
- Not more than 25 people are allowed in shops.
- Every shop should have santisers for the customers at the entry point.
- A maximum of 50 people are allowed in marriages and everyone will have to wear masks and maintain social distancing.
- Strikes or protests will need prior permission from the government and only 10 people can take part after the permission is granted.
