J&K: Army Thwarts Major Terror Attack On Picket In Rajouri
The suspected terrorists fired at a security post in the Gundha area of Rajouri district at 4 am and the Army foiled the bid.
A major terror attack on an Army picket in a remote village in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri was thwarted by the defence force, said Public Relations Office, Defence Jammu. Firing was underway and more details are awaited.
The security forces launched a cordon and search operation following the suspected terrorists firing at a security post early on Monday, reported PTI quoting official sources.
As per the report, the suspected terrorists fired at a security post in the Gundha area of Rajouri district at 4 am, and security personnel retaliated.
A jawan was injured in the firing, reported India Today.
"Terrorists attacked the house of a VDC at Gunda, Rajouri at 3:10 AM. A nearby Army column reacted and a firefight ensued. Operations are continuing," said Indian Army in a statement on X.
