Jammu & Kashmir: 2 Army Personnel Dead, 2 Others Injured In Encounter With Terrorists In Kishtwar
Jammu & Kashmir: During an encounter in Kishtwar, four army personnel were injured in a firefight with terrorists. Out of them, two jawans succumbed to their injuries.
Two out of four army personnel, injured during an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district on Friday, succumbed to their injuries after security forces launched a search operation based on intelligence inputs. The incident occurred in the Naidgham area of the Chhatroo belt. Earlier today, a joint operation between the Indian Army and the Jammu and Kashmir Police was launched following the intelligence input, White Knight Corps said in a post on X (formerly Twitter). "A contact has been established with the terrorists at 1530 hours," they confirmed.

In another post, the White Knight Corps informed about the soldiers' death, "#GOC White Knight Corps and all ranks salute the supreme sacrifice of the #Bravehearts; offer deepest condolences to the families." The deceased were identified as Naib Subedar Vipan Kumar and Sepoy Arvind Singh.
Acting on a tip-off, security forces initiated a cordon and search operation in the upper reaches of Naidgham village, specifically in the Pingnal Dugadda forest area, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Chhatroo, according to police officials, news agency PTI reported.
One of the injured was evacuated to the nearby Command Hospital for treatment while three were being treated locally, the Indian Army officials told news agency ANI.

Jammu & Kashmir: Encounter Ensues In Dodi Forest Area In Poonch
Meanwhile, in another operation in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch border district, a brief encounter with terrorists took place in the Dodi forest area on Thursday night. Security forces acted on specific information, leading to a clash, officials said, as per PTI.
Following the encounter, a makeshift hideout was uncovered, and recoveries, including an AK rifle, were made. A major search operation has been launched to track down the remaining militants in the region.
