J&K: MCA Student Goes Missing In Bla, Family Appeals Son To Return Home

Saqib Ashraf, son of Muhammad Ashraf Lone of Fategrah Baramulla, is missing since 20 December when he was returning home from Kashmir University.

Srinagar: The family members of a 24-year-old youth, who is missing from December 20 here have urged their son to return home and appealed the government to help them in tracing him. Family fears that the youth may have joined some militant group. ALSO READ | J&K DDC Poll Results: Counting Conclude As Gupkar Alliance Wins Big In Kashmir, BJP Makes Inroads In Jammu According to locals, a 24-year-old youth Saqib Ashraf, son of Muhammad Ashraf Lone of Fategrah Baramulla, is missing since 20 December when he was returning home from Kashmir University. Family members Say that on 20 December, Saqib left Kashmir University, but didn’t reach home since then, adding that repeated attempts to contact him failed as his phone was switched off. “We tried to search him everywhere. We called all our relatives, friends, but nobody had any clue about Saqib,” the family said, adding that they have also registered a missing report in this regard at Police Station Sheeri. The family has appealed their son to return home. “We appeal our son to return home for the sake of God. Please don’t leave us like this and return home as soon as possible. We cannot live without you,” said his father Ashraf Ahmad amid tears and sobs. “If he is with any militant outfit, we request them to please allow him to return home. He is very innocent. We don’t have any support except him,” Saqib’s family said.
