J&K: Encounter Breaks Out Between Security Forces And Terrorists In Rajouri, Say Police
The Jammu and Kashmir Police has said that two terrorists are believed to be trapped.
An encounter has started between terrorists and the Joint Forces Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Bajimaal area of Dharmsal in the Rajouri District of Jammu and Kashmir. According to the J&K Police, two terrorists are believed to be trapped.

Last Friday, a terrorist was killed in an encounter between terrorists and security forces in the Budhal area of Rajouri district, police said, as quoted by news agency IANS. Police said, based on specific information, a joint operation was launched by Rajouri police, the army, and the CRPF in the general area of Behrote Top. As the security personnel were moving towards the target house, the terrorist started firing on them from inside," police said.
"The exchange of fire continued for some time, and during the ensuing operation, one terrorist was killed. An amount of arms and ammunition has also been recovered from the site," police said, as quoted by IANS. Police said the area has been cordoned off for searches, and the identity of the killed terrorist is being ascertained.
There have been a series of encounters between the terrorists and security forces across Jammu & Kashmir in the recent past in which many terrorists have been eliminated.
Last week, an encounter broke out between security forces and terrorists in J&K's Kulgam in which five terrorists were gunned down during the encounter. The operation is still underway. Out of the five, three belonged to Lashkar-e-Taiba, as reported by news agency ANI.
The joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a search operation in the area after receiving information about the presence of militants.
