J&K: Rajouri Turns Gloomy As Dark Grey Clouds Blanket City Ahead Of Rains—WATCH
The skies in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district turned dark as the city got covered with dark clouds.
The skies in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri city turned dark after the city got covered with dark grey clouds, as the region prepares to receive rainfall. The India Meteorological Department, as per its nowcast, has issued a yellow alert in Rajouri at 12:30 PM, which is valid upto 3:30 PM.

Rajouri district is likely to receive light rain of <5 mm/hour and light thunderstorms with maximum surface wind speed less than 40 kmph, IMD stated.
Besides several other districts including Rajouri, Mirpur, Ramban, Kulgam, Anantnag, Bandipora, Srinagar, Ganderbal, Pulwama are also on yellow alert, with possibility of receiving light rain and thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, orange alert has been issued in Poonch, Budgam, Baramullah, Kupwara, Muzaffarabad, which is valid upto 3:30 PM. These districts can receive moderate thunderstorms with maximum surface wind speed between 41-61 kmph.
According to IMD's forecast, under the influence of a fresh Western Disturbance which will likely affect northwest India from May 9, Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are likely to receive scattered to fairly widespread rainfall activity accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning & gusty winds (30-40 kmph) until May 12.
Uttarakhand is very likely to witness hailstorm activity at isolated places until May 12.
"Isolated light to moderate rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm, lightning & gusty winds (30-40 kmph) very likely over Haryana-Chandigarh, Punjab and Rajasthan during May 10-12 ; over Uttar Pradesh during May 8-12," IMD stated in its weather forecast.
Meanwhile, the IMD has also forecast that most parts of the Delhi-NCR region will likely experience drizzle or light rains with gusty winds during May 10-12 (Friday-Sunday).
