The India Meteorological Department's (IMD) Mumbai office issued a 'yellow' alert for the city on Monday, anticipating severe rainfall in isolated areas, according to a civic official. On the other hand, IMD expects Himachal Pradesh to witness light to moderate rainfall today.

- "Light to moderate rain with thunder is expected to occur over a few places in Una, Kangra, Hamirpur, Shimla, Solan, Sirmaur, and Mandi districts today and heavy rainfall is expected in Kullu district," IMD said.
- Heavy rain fell in Mahalakshmi, Byculla, Malabar Hill, Matunga, Sion, Bandra, Santacruz, Andheri, and other locations early in the morning, although the intensity of the rain decreased around 8 a.m. According to local officials, no serious flooding was recorded anywhere in the city of Mumbai, PTI reported.
