Himachal: 3 IIT BHU Students Among 10 Dead As Bus Rolls Down Gorge In Kullu, PM Modi Expresses Grief
Ten others were injured in the accident, which occurred at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday in Ghiyaghi, Banjar subdivision.
Officials said on Monday that three students from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Varanasi were among the ten tourists killed when a tempo traveller fell into a gorge in Himachal Pradesh's Kullu district, news agency PTI reported.
Ten others were injured in the accident, which occurred at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday in Ghiyaghi, Banjar subdivision.
Expressing grief over the incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated: "The incident of a tourist vehicle falling into a ditch in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh is very sad. I express my deepest condolences to the families of those who have lost their loved ones in this accident. Along with this, all possible help is being provided to the injured. I wish him a speedy recovery."

Surender Shourie, a BJP MLA from Banjar, posted a video on Facebook at 12:45 a.m. on Monday, informing people about the accident.
The injured were first taken to Banjar hospital, where they were given first aid before being referred to a Kullu hospital, he said.
About a week ago, seven persons were murdered in another tragedy in Jharkhand's Hazaribag district. According to police, the tragedy occurred when a bus carrying around 50 passengers slid off a bridge.
According to Superintendent of Police Manoj Ratan Chothe, the disaster occurred when a Ranchi-bound bus travelling from Giridih district broke the bridge railing and plummeted into a dry section in the Siwanne River in the Tatijharia Police Station area.
Two people died on the scene, while five others died as a result of their injuries.
Several people were rescued after becoming trapped inside the vehicle.
