IAF Chief Visits Leh To Review Aerial Defence Preparedness, Fighter Aircraft Moved To Forward Bases
According to the reports, the Indian air force has moved forward its fighter aircrafts to airfields following the spike in border tensions with neighbouring China after since the Galwan Vally clash.
Leh: The ongoing heated scuffle between India and China has escalated tensions in Leh as war-like situation grips the area. Amid the rising concerns, Indian Air Force Chief RKS Bhadauria visited Leh on an unscheduled tour to review the operation of the aerial defence in the region. IAF Chief paid a two-day visit to Leh and Srinagar region airbases. It is believed that these places could host the most critical part of operation to be carried out by the Indian Air Force in the eastern Ladakh in video of an eventuality.
According to the reports, the Indian air force has moved forward its fighter aircraft to airfields following the spike in border tensions with neighbouring China after since the Galwan Vally clash.
Since then tension has intensified in the valley and people are restricted to cross the 20km area around Leh. Earlier, Pangong lake was open for tourists with a permit from the administration. But now one has to stay within the 20km area of Leh and people are not allowed to visit the lake.
As many as twenty soldiers of the Indian Army were martyred during a violent face-off between Indian and Chinese troops at the Line of Actual Control in Ladakh's Galwan Valley on Monday night.

Sources have said that as many as 35 casualties were dealt to Chinese troops. China has now claimed sovereignty over India’s Galwan Valley region and has accused India of violating border protocols. India has rejected all the allegations made by China and has said Chinese troops tried to modify status quo unilaterally.
Meanwhile, both the parties are having Major General-level talks on Thursday after the talks remained inconclusive on Wednesday. While the military talks ended on a positive trajectory today, more are to be followed on Friday.
